Connect to Safely

First, you need to find your Hostaway ID and API key. To do so:

• Go to Hostaway.
• Go to  Settings > Hostaway API
• Under the Hostaway Public API, you will find:
  • Click on the Create button
  • Name your Api Key: “Safely-Company Name-API Key”
    
  • You will see the API key. We will show it only one time! Make sure to save it

You will also need your account ID. You can find it in Settings 

Step 2

Once you have collected the Account ID and API Key, copy both and paste them into an email and send the key to Safely at concierge@safely.com to connect your Hostaway account.

Step 3

Set up your fees for each property based on the booking channel. 

Direct Bookings:

These fees can be applied to direct reservations coming from the Booking Engine, WordPress plugin, and the Hostaway dashboard:

• Go to Listings on the left menu
• Click Edit in any listing

• Click Price & Fees

• Find section Direct channel Fees
• Click Add Fee
    o Select Fee Type – Suggested fee type: Insurance Fee

• Enter
  o Name
  o Amount
  o Type – Flat, Percentage, Per Night
  o Fee Applied
  o Check Mandatory
  o Save

Note: The Safely fee needs to be mandatory. It will always appear in the
reservation and is not removable by the guest. The mandatory direct
channel fees are automatically added to the Hostaway reservation
amount during checkout.

Channel Specific Fees

• Go to Listings on the left menu
• Click Edit in any listing

• Select Channel specific

Airbnb

• Select:
  o Resort fee – Fees are added to the rent rate
  o Community fee – Fees are added to the rent rate
  o Management fee – Fees are added to the rent rate
  o Linen fee – Fees are added Cleaning Fee• Fee must be a Flat $ amount per reservation or % markup. Please note that Airbnb does not accept per night fees.

VRBO

• Adjust your nightly rate or cleaning fee

Booking.com

• All fees are done within Booking.com by the property, and then pushed back into your Hostaway account.
