Auto-payments for Booking.com Reservations
To set up automatic payments for Booking.com reservations you should follow the next steps:

Go to your Hostaway Dashboard > Guest Payments

In the top bar go to Auto-payments > "Add auto-payment" or select an existing one

On Channels select Booking.com

VCC Auto-Charges
- The VCC Auto-Charge feature improves the payment experience for Booking.com reservations by ensuring the correct amount is charged at the right time.
- This reduces payment failures related to VCCs (Virtual Credit Cards) and provides better confidence in getting paid.
- With this feature enabled, Safely automatically adjusts the charge dates and amounts for Booking.com VCCs and guest cards.
How It Works
- To enable this feature, you’ll need to select the checkbox for “If it's a Booking.com VCC, charge the full balance one day after the activation date. For guest cards, follow the auto-charge schedule below.” This setting is found under the Guest Payments section in Auto-Payments.
- When Booking.com is selected as your channel, you’ll see this checkbox to automatically charge the full VCC balance after the activation date.
- There is also a helpful tooltip that provides further explanation when you hover over the checkbox.
Feature Details
- For Existing Schedules: This feature is off by default for existing Booking.com payment schedules but can be enabled at any time.
- For New Schedules: The feature is on by default for new Booking.com payment schedules but can be disabled if preferred

Once this feature is activated
- For Booking.com VCCs: The full VCC balance will only be charged one day after the activation date.
- For All Other Guest Cards: The full amount paid by the guest will be charged based on the schedule defined by the host (just like the current logic).
Where to Find the Setting
- Go to the Guest Payments section in your Hostaway Dashboard
- Click on Auto-Payments
- Locate the Booking.com channel
- Select the checkbox labeled: “If it's a Booking.com VCC, charge the full balance one day after the activation date. For guest cards, follow the auto-charge schedule below.”
Note: This feature is controlled by the Charge VCC Balance Active feature flag.

Additional Notes
- The Charge VCC Balance Active feature flag must be enabled to activate this option. If you do not see this checkbox, check with your account representative to ensure the feature flag is active on your account.
