AirDNA Adapt brings your Hostaway listings into Adapt so you can see recommended rates and, when you're ready, sync prices automatically. Connecting is free, and you stay in full control: your current rates won't change, nothing syncs back to Hostaway until you turn it on, and you can disconnect at any time.
Steps on AirDNA
- Open the connection flow one of these ways: select the connect prompt on your home page (if this is your first connection), click Adapt in the left-hand navigation, or go to your profile and click Add Channel
- Choose Property Management Software (PMS), then select Hostaway
Steps on Hostaway
- Sign in to your Hostaway Dashboard
- Go to Marketplace and search for AirDNA
- Click Connect, then Create to generate your API credentials
- Hostaway shows your Account ID (a number, e.g. 40160) and an API Secret Key
⚠️ Copy both and save them securely — the secret key is displayed only once.
Finish connecting in AirDNA
- Back in AirDNA, paste the Account ID and API key into their fields
- Click Secure connection
When it works, you'll see "Successfully connected to Hostaway!" and your listings will begin importing.
What happens after you connect
- All listings on your Hostaway account import automatically, along with their calendars — no need to select them one by one; importing can take a few moments
- Recommended Adapt rates generate within a few minutes
- Nothing is pushed back to Hostaway yet — to start syncing prices, see How Rate Syncing Works
- Ongoing sync: after the first import, Adapt automatically syncs with Hostaway every 24 hours. Each sync refreshes your listings, calendars, bookings, and reviews, and — once rate syncing is on — pushes your latest prices, availability (minimum stay and check-in/check-out rules), and discounts back to Hostaway
What data Adapt accesses
Fetch means Adapt reads it from Hostaway. Push means Adapt writes it back to Hostaway, and only after you turn on rate syncing yourself.
What Adapt reads (fetch):
- Account details (name and email)
- Properties and listing details
- Bookings
- Reviews
- Rates and availability
What Adapt can push (only after rate syncing is on):
- Nightly prices
- Availability, including minimum night stay and check-in/check-out restrictions
- Weekly and monthly discounts
- Cleaning and extra-guest fees
Everything Adapt reads stays read-only. Adapt won't change your pricing or calendar until you turn on rate syncing.
⚠️ Using another pricing tool? If you decide to sync rates with AirDNA Adapt, turn off Hostaway's dynamic pricing or any third-party pricing tool first — otherwise the two will overwrite each other.
Troubleshooting
- "Failed to connect. Please check your credentials and try again." — double-check that you copied the full API key and the correct Account ID. If it still fails, go back to the AirDNA app in Hostaway's Marketplace, create a fresh API key, and try with the new one.
How to disconnect
- Click your profile, then go to Connections
- Find your Hostaway connection and choose to delete it
- Confirm when prompted
Disconnecting removes Hostaway and its listings from your account. This can't be undone, but you can reconnect anytime with a new API key.
