oh-stay lets guests find your listings, place bids, and book directly. This guide walks you through linking your Hostaway account to oh-stay — once connected, your listings import automatically, complete with photos, bedrooms, and property details, while Hostaway stays your single source of truth.
Prerequisites
- An active Hostaway account with at least one listing
- An oh-stay host account, with access to sign in to The Host's Desk
- Admin access in Hostaway — needed to generate API credentials
Steps on Hostaway
- Sign in to your Hostaway Dashboard
- Go to Marketplace and search for oh-stay
- Click Connect, then Create to generate your API credentials
- Hostaway shows your Account ID (a number, e.g. 40160) and an API Secret Key
- Copy both and keep them somewhere safe — you'll paste them into oh-stay in a moment
⚠️ Hostaway shows the API key only once. If you lose it, simply generate a new key and use that instead.
Steps on oh-stay
- Go to the oh-stay sign-in page, choose I have a host account, and log in — you'll land on The Host's Desk
- In the left sidebar, under Tools & Integrations, click Connectors — you'll see the available property-management connectors, with Hostaway first
- On the Hostaway card, click Connect — a dialog opens asking for your Hostaway API credentials
- Paste the Account ID and API key you copied from Hostaway in Part 1, then click Connect. Your credentials are stored securely and used only to sync your account
- Go to My properties. Your Hostaway listings appear in the All Properties List within a few moments, each tagged Imported from: Hostaway. Use the Published toggle to control which listings are live on oh-stay
- You're connected — your listings are now live on The Host's Desk with photos and details synced from Hostaway. New listings and updates flow through automatically
From here you can
- Publish your listings — flip the toggle in My properties
- Set up bidding — go to Biddings to review and accept guest offers
- Manage availability — My calendar and My reservations stay in sync
- Get paid — connect payouts under Financials
Troubleshooting
- No properties after 30 seconds? Refresh the page.
- Still missing? Check your Hostaway API key has read access to listings, or generate a fresh key and reconnect.
- Wrong account connected? Disconnect in Connectors and repeat Part 2.
