Integrate your Hostaway account with Topkey to automate property syncing and expense tracking. This guide walks you through the setup and explains what data is transmitted behind the scenes.
Steps on Hostaway
- Go to Hostaway Dashboard
- Click on Marketplace within the Dashboard
- Search for Topkey and click on the Connect button
- A small box will appear > Click on "Create"
- The Account ID and the API Key will be presented in a new window
- Copy your Account ID and API Key and keep them somewhere safe for later
Steps on Topkey
- Log in to Topkey. Log in to your Topkey account
- Navigate to Integrations. Go to Settings → Connections → Integrations

Find and Select Hostaway. Scroll down to Hostaway in the integrations list and click Connect

Enter Hostaway Credentials. In Topkey, you'll be prompted to enter (find these by logging into your Hostaway account and navigating to Settings → Hostaway API)
- Your Hostaway Account ID
- Your Hostaway API Key

- Complete the Connection. Log in to your Hostaway account when prompted to finalize the integration.

You’re Connected! Once connected, you can sync properties and send expenses directly from Topkey to Hostaway.
What Data Is Transmitted?
Here’s a technical overview of how Topkey and Hostaway exchange data and what’s enabled by the integration.
Property Sync: Imports all listings from Hostaway into Topkey.
Send Expenses: Sends expenses created in Topkey into Hostaway, labeled as "Expenses". Details include description, vendor name, and other metadata
