How to connect with Merchant Warrior?

Introduction

The steps below will guide you through setting up Merchant Warrior as a payment option for your Hostaway reservations, using Hostaway’s custom fields and automation features.

Before you begin: Please contact Merchant Warrior support to enable the Hostaway service on your account. This must be done before proceeding with the setup instructions below.

How it works: Once set up, a payment link (PAY.Link) will automatically be created for each new reservation. Any payment made through this link will be automatically reflected on the corresponding reservation in Hostaway.

 

Integration Steps

Steps on Hostaway

  1. Go to the Hostaway Dashboard
  2. Click on Marketplace -> Merchant Warrior within the Dashboard
  3. Click on the Connect button

 

  1. The Account ID and the API Key will be presented on a new window
  2. Copy your Account ID and API Key and keep it somewhere safe for later

 

 

Steps on Merchant Warrior

  1. Access your Merchant Warrior Barracks dashboard
  2. Click on Settings, scroll down to Hostaway
  3. Paste the Account ID and API Key codes obtained from Hostaway

  1. Click on “Save Details”
  2. Now click on Setup Webhook and Custom Field (note down the custom field name)

Steps on Hostaway

  1. Go to the Hostaway Dashboard
  2. Click on Inbox - Automations within the Dashboard
  3. Click on Create new
  4. Enter any Automation Name & Subject
  5. In the Default message – be sure to add the Custom Field (this will be the Paylink URL provided to the customer to pay)
  6. Event Trigger: At Reservation
  7. Add an Additional condition for “Reservation Custom Field”
  8. Select “mw_paylink” and condition as “is not empty”
  9. Select all Listings and Add automatically new listings as needed
  10. Save

Steps on Merchant Warrior

  1. Access your Merchant Warrior Barracks dashboard
  2. Click on Settings, scroll down to Hostaway
  3. Toggle Enable Hostaway to on
  4. Save Details

Congratulations, you have now linked Hostaway with your Merchant Warrior account. When any new reservation is created, a paylink will be automatically generated and sent to the customer per your automation settings.
