Introduction
The steps below will guide you through setting up Merchant Warrior as a payment option for your Hostaway reservations, using Hostaway’s custom fields and automation features.
Before you begin: Please contact Merchant Warrior support to enable the Hostaway service on your account. This must be done before proceeding with the setup instructions below.
How it works: Once set up, a payment link (PAY.Link) will automatically be created for each new reservation. Any payment made through this link will be automatically reflected on the corresponding reservation in Hostaway.
Steps on Hostaway
- Sign in to your Hostaway Dashboard
- Go to Marketplace and search for Merchant Warrior
- Click Connect, then Create to generate your API credentials
- Hostaway shows your Account ID (a number, e.g., 40160) and an API Secret Key
Copy both and save them securely — the secret key is displayed only once.
Steps on Merchant Warrior
- Access your Merchant Warrior Barracks dashboard
- Click on Settings, scroll down to Hostaway
- Paste the Account ID and API Key codes obtained from Hostaway
- Click on “Save Details”
- Now click on Setup Webhook and Custom Field (note down the custom field name).
Congratulations, you have now linked Hostaway with your Merchant Warrior account. When any new reservation is created, a pay link will be automatically generated and sent to the customer per your automation settings.
