How to use:

  1. Go to your Hostaway Dashboard > Listings 
  2. Choose the listing you would like to edit and click on the pencil Edit
  3. In the Basic info tab, go to Description 
  4. In the description box, at the top right-corner you will find the Optimizer

  5. When you click on it, AI will improve the description and present a suggestion

  6. Review the AI-generated description
  7. Edit as needed
  8. Save it by clicking on Use this text

AI Replies automatically generates suggested responses for incoming guest messages, saving you time while maintaining quality communication. When enabled, the AI analyzes your custom rules, reservation details, and property information to create contextually appropriate responses that appear in your inbox for review.

AI Auto-Reply

AI Rules

AI Knowledge Base

The "brain" behind AI operations. Hosts can add facts about their properties to ensure the AI knows every detail and provides accurate responses to guests. This feature includes the following: 

  • AI Knowledge from PDFs. You can upload PDF documents, and AI automatically extracts useful facts for their listings and adds them directly into the AI Knowledge Base. This means less manual setup and faster onboarding. 
  • AI Auto-Learning from Host Messages. AI automatically extracts relevant facts from host messages sent to guests (both mobile and desktop) and adds them to the AI Knowledge Base. Zero extra clicks required—the system gets smarter with every host reply.

AI now recognizes when conversations need human attention by detecting negative sentiment and flagging them in the Inbox. You can also create custom AI Escalation Rules to catch business-critical moments (e.g., "no hot water," "guest mentioned lawyer," or specific urgent issues).   3. AI analyzes the situation - When a guest messages you, the AI considers:
    • Your custom rules
    • Details about the reservation
    • Information about your property listing
  4. AI suggests a response - A pre-written response appears in your inbox
  5. You decide what to send - You can:
    • Send the suggested response as-is
    • Edit it before sending
    • Write your own response instead
