How to create Message Templates?
The Hostaway messaging feature allows you to create template groups and individual templates. Templates are like drafts that can be used to answer your guests.
Create message templates
On the top right, click on "Add new template":
- Template name and Description - Internal information
- Channels and listings - You cannot multi-select channels and listings
- Group name - Select a group if you want
- Message - Write down the template message. You can use fields if you want. Remember that a Template can be edited before being sent to a guest
Using a message template
You can access templates directly in the Inbox, on the right side after selecting a conversation. When you click on one of the template names, it will automatically add the message to the thread window so you can send it out directly or modify it to your needs.
If the template is assigned to a specific listing and the listing is deleted, the template will only show after that in the admin account and with the information "all listings". Admin can then assign it to a different listing, delete it, or apply it to all listings.
Create message template groups
With the Hostaway software, you can add template groups to your account. These groups can be anything based on your own needs.
For example, you can create groups such as "Administration" for invoicing and reservation templates, "Building" for templates on how the washing machine is working, or "Activities" for templates about events and things to do in the region.
