How to connect with Vikey

Steps on Hostaway

  1. Go to Hostaway Dashboard
  2. Click on Marketplace within the Dashboard
  3. Search for Vikey and click on the Connect button

  4. A small box will appear > Click on "Create"

  5. The Account ID and the API Key will be presented on a new window

  6. Copy your Account ID and API Key and keep it somewhere safe for later

Steps on Vikey

  1. To set up the integration between Vikey and Hostaway, you need to go on your Vikey dashboard in Settings > Integrations > Add integration:



  2. Simply select the Hostaway logo and enter the credentials you’ve previously created in the required fields:



  3. Select your account from the drop-down menu



  4. Enter your Hostaway Account ID
  5. Enter the API Key you’ve generated in Hostaway
  6. Click on Activate

 

How to create webhooks

Moreover, Hostaway allows you to create and manage “webhooks” to make integration with Vikey more efficient.

To create webhooks, you need to enter a URL by going to the Settings > Integrations area of your Hostaway dashboard. The section you are interested in is the one regarding UNIFIED WEBHOOKS:



You will need to include the URL https://integrations.vikey.it/hostaway/{integr_id} in the specified section, paying attention to add as {integr_id}, the Hostaway integration ID that you previously created in Vikey (in the Settings > Integrations area).



Click on Add to complete the procedure.
