How to connect with HostWriter?

hostAI is a dynamic AI-powered marketing platform tailored for vacation rental managers, featuring a diverse suite of tools, including hostWriter. Our offerings encompass direct distribution solutions such as AI-enhanced booking engines and automated SEO/SEM tools, along with OTA distribution services such as hostWriter.

 

1. Sign Up for hostWriter

  • Visit the hostWriter website
  • Use your email address to create an account

2. Import Your Airbnb Profile

  • Copy and paste a link from one of your Airbnb listings into the provided field. Ensure the URL has ".com" suffix
  • If you have multiple listings, you will be prompted to choose whether to import just one property or all of them.

3. Choose Your Subscription

  • Decide between a monthly or annual subscription based on your needs
  • Review the subscription details and complete the checkout process

4. Accessing Your Descriptions

  • Once logged in, navigate to the hostWriter homepage
  • Click on ‘Descriptions’ located at the top right corner
  • hostWriter will have already started creating your first set of descriptions

 

5. Monthly Description Updates

  • Your property descriptions will be updated and populated monthly
  • You will receive an email notification each time your descriptions are ready and updated

 

6. Integrating with Hostaway

  • Go to the settings page on your hostWriter account
  • Click on the ‘Integrations’ menu
  • Find Hostaway in the list of integrations and switch it on

 

  • A modal will appear asking for your Hostaway integration token
  • Enter your integration token in the modal
  • You can get the integration token by finding hostWriter on the Hostaway Marketplace and clicking on 'Connect'
    • A modal will pop up to prompt you to "Create public API secret key for hostWriter"
    • Click 'Create'
    • Copy the Account ID into the Client ID field on hostWriter; and copy the API key into the Client Secret field



    • Once done, your hostWriter and Hostaway accounts will be fully integrated

7. Enjoy Your Enhanced Listings

  • With the integration complete, your enhanced and optimized descriptions from hostWriter will now sync with your listings on Hostaway
  • Sit back and enjoy the improved performance of your listings!
