Learn how to reconnect your Stripe account using the upgraded Stripe connection in Hostaway and what to check if you use main or listing-level Stripe accounts.
Important!! The old Stripe connection will be deprecated.
Use this guide to reconnect your Stripe account with the new Stripe (Upgrade) connection.
For the main Stripe account connection:
Use the steps below for your main Hostaway-connected Stripe account. After a successful connection to the same Stripe account, all upcoming scheduled charges will remain working.
- Log in as the main account owner to the Hostaway dashboard.
- Go to Settings - Integrations page
- For Stripe (upgrade) click on the activate button and get redirected to your Stripe account.
- Accept the connection with the same Stripe account you currently use in Hostaway. (Do not click to create a new account. If your existing account doesn't show up to select, please log in to a different tab to the Stripe account so that the login is already made, and it shows as an option for the connection)
- After successful confirmation, you get redirected to the Hostaway dashboard.
- Important! For the old Stripe connection, inform customer support to have this deactivated.
When using multiple Stripe accounts on the listing level:
Use the steps below when you have multiple Stripe accounts connected to individual Listings. After a successful connection to the same Stripe account, all upcoming scheduled charges will remain working.
- For the listing-specific accounts, go to the listing - edit - payment accounts.
- Click on the "Connect Stripe Upgrade" button.
- Important! Make sure you connect to the same individual Stripe account and not by accident a different Stripe account you are logged in to.
- After successful confirmation, you get redirected to the Hostaway dashboard.
- Important! For the old Stripe connection on the listing level, inform support to have this deactivated.
For current already connected clients.
Migration is easy and only takes a couple of minutes of your time.
Important: during the last 2 years, the option to deactivate old account connections existed but has sins mid 2024 been removed. Inform our customer support team in case you have migrated but have not disconnected the old connection to do it for you.
