Learn how to configure bed type settings for listings and how bed details may appear across Hostaway and connected channels.
Bed Types
Airbnb, Vrbo, Hostaway, and Booking.com listings created via API will use Hostaway listing bed types. This helps you gain more visibility and improve the listing ranking of your listings.
Set up your bed types
To set up your bed types, please follow the next steps:
Go to your Hostaway Dashboard > Listings > Click on Edit Listing
In Basic info. Specify the number of beds and bedrooms > Save
In Bed types. Select the type of bed, the quantity, and the room it belongs to. Select the bed type, the quantity, and the bedroom number
Notes
- Bed-type export is only available for Airbnb, Vrbo, and new Booking.com properties
- The total count of rooms and beds should equal the total number set in the Basic Info tab. i.e., If you have 3 bedrooms and 6 beds in total. The total count of added bed types should match 6 beds and 3 bedrooms
- Not all bed options are compatible on all channels. Keep in mind the available options on the channel so these can be set from Hostaway as intended.
Vrbo specific
- The room number is not synced to Vrbo, since it's not a field currently managed by Hostaway. Only bed type and quantity will be synced, but the room number will be assigned automatically by Vrbo
- You can only have one common space with one bed type, i.e., an air mattress is considered a twin bed, while a queen sofa is a double sofa bed
- Common spaces will not sync information to VRBO
