How do I send a quote from the Hostaway Calendar?

As a host, you may receive inquiries from guests about how much it might cost to stay at one of your business properties or one of them in particular.

Quoting feature in Hostaway allows you to offer a price for a given stay at your properties. The process is very straightforward and will allow you to make offers through our system.

To send reservation quotes to guests from Hostaway you can follow two different paths:

1. From the Calendar
2. From the Booking Engine

From the Calendar

To send a quote from the Hostaway Calendar please follow the next steps:

1. Go to your Hostaway Dashboard > Calendar
2. Click on “Available Listings” at the top left-hand
   • Select the arrival and departure date
   • Select the number of guests
   • Select the minimum and maximum price per listing/night
   • Select the city and the amenities
3. Click on “Apply”
4. The calendar will show you the available listings with the chosen criteria
5. Select the listing and dates > Click on Add > Select Direct Booking
   
   
   
   
6. A new reservation dialogue window will be displayed
7. Fill in the required information about the guest
   • For the name you will be able to add it from the guest book
   • “Channel” must be “Hostaway Direct”
   • “Status” must be “Inquiry”
8. Click “Save” on the up-right corner
9. A new Inquiry has been created that
   • Will not block your listing on the calendar
   • No expiration date
   • Will be represented in yellow on your calendar
10. Go to Inbox > You will find a new message Inquiry related
    • On the right-hand side scroll down to find message templates > Select Quote
    • The quote template includes the Guest Portal link created for the Inquiry
    • Click “Send”
    • You just sent the guest a quote
      
      
      
      
11. From the Guest Portal, the guest will be able to
    • Verify that all the reservation information is accurate and
    • Finalize the booking by entering the credit card details
12. Once the guest has entered their credit card details and finalized the booking
    • The reservation will block your calendar
    • The reservation status will change from “Inquiry” to “New”
    • The color of the reservation in the calendar will change from yellow to green

From the Booking Engine

To send a quote from the Hostaway Booking Engine please follow the next steps:

1. Go to your Booking Engine

2. Select the listing and dates

3. Copy the URL

4. Go to the Inbox

5. Send the URL to the guest in a message

6. The guest will open the URL > Should click on Book Now

7. Finalize the booking by entering the credit card details
