Unlike booking through OTAs — where the platform itself provides credibility — your direct website needs to earn that trust on its own. An About Us page and a Contact Us page are two very effective tools for doing exactly that.
About Us: Build trust
Guests want to know who they are booking with. A well-crafted About Us page tells your story: who you are, how long you've been hosting, what makes your properties special, and why guests should choose you over an OTA. It turns an anonymous transaction into a personal connection — and personal connections convert.
The "About Us" page also supports your SEO. Search engines reward pages that establish a clear brand identity and help users understand the business behind a website. Including your name, your market, and your area of expertise gives search engines the context they need to surface your site to the right guests.
Contact us: Capture leads
It gives hesitant guests a direct path to you, and it signals to all visitors that a real person is behind this website and available to help. It also creates a channel for corporate travel managers, wedding planners, and other high-value repeat customers to reach you directly, outside of OTA platforms.
The "Contact Us" page isn't only for guests. Property owners looking for a professional to manage their rental can also use it to reach out. For property managers looking to grow their portfolio, this page is a low-effort but high-value tool for generating owner leads
How to create these pages
With the Booking Website Pro, building these pages is easier than ever. We have created re-usable dynamic sections that you can simply drag and drop into a new page, or replace sections if you have already created an About us / Contact us page.
To create About Us or Contact Us pages, please follow the next steps:
- Go to your Hostaway Dashboard > Booking Website
- Choose the booking website pro you would like to edit
- Click on the name of the website > Click on Site editor
- Click on the Pages > Click on the green button + Add Page
- Click on Blank Page
- Enter a Page Name, i.e., About Us, and click on + Add Page
- The new page is now available in the Pages tab
- To add a template for the About us page, click on the page to edit it
- On the canvas, click on Add Section > Select the Designed option
- Click on the About section and click on the Custom tab > Click the template available there to add it to the canvas, and finally click the Save section.
- Once added, you may add and customize the template for this page to your style, add content, change images, and more. Make sure you remove any empty blank sections if needed, for example: Click on the section > Delete icon
- For the Contact us page, follow the same steps as described above, and you can find the contact us page template in the Contact Us section > Custom tab.
Please note: The email, address, and phone numbers are all connected and dynamic in your website. That means if you update your email on the contact us page, for example, it will automatically be updated across all pages and footers of the website.
