Cancellation Policy
Cancellation policies determine the guest's refund in the rare event that they cancel a reservation. They range from Flexible to No Refund policies.
Set the Cancellation Policy
Go to Listings > Edit > Additional info
You can set the Cancellation policy as shown above:
- Cancellation Policy for OTAs - Vrbo and Booking.com only
- Cancellation Policy for Hostaway Channels (Website/ Booking Engine, WordPress, direct reservations and via the public API)

Please note :
- Airbnb: We support Firm policy (Full refund up until 30 days prior to arrival. 50% refund of accommodation fee up to 1 week prior to arrival, then non-refundable.)
- Booking.com; We only export the policy when using the Content API. We export it 1 time. It will have to be changed in Booking.com afterwards.
Edit Cancellation Policy (Direct Channels)
You also have the option to amend the cancellation policy as you require for direct channels and create a custom cancellation policy by clicking on the 'Edit' button available next to the field:
Then you can set up a new policy as per your requirement with multiple conditions. The selected policy will appear in direct channels such as the booking engine.
Make sure to set a type, name and condition for the policy accordingly:

Under listings → channel-specific, there is a section for Vrbo’s cancellation policy. You can set a cancellation fee and up to 3 rules based on a percentage of the total amount that will be refunded to the guest when cancelling (minus the cancellation fee, which is never refunded).
