Learn how to view, edit, copy, and manage listing descriptions from the Hostaway mobile app, including channel-specific descriptions for connected OTAs.
Overview
You can now view and edit listing descriptions directly from the mobile app.
The feature supports reading the full description, editing it in-app, copying the text, and opening channel-specific descriptions on each connected OTA.
Accessing the Feature
Navigate to a listing via the Listings tab or by tapping a listing name from a reservation
In the listing detail view, tap Listing Description in the content section
The Listing Description screen opens in read mode
The listing detail view shows the property photo, name, ID, address, and key attributes at the top, followed by content sections including Listing Description, Amenities, Bed and bathroom types, Custom fields, House rules, Listing notes, and Cancellation policy.
Read Mode
The read view displays the full property description as scrollable text. Three controls are available:

Edit Mode
Tapping the edit icon opens the description in an editable text area. The full text is displayed without truncation.

Unsaved Changes Guard
If you attempt to navigate back with unsaved changes, a confirmation prompt appears with options to Save changes, Discard, or Cancel and stay on the page.
Listing Channels
At the bottom of the Listing Description read view, a Listing Channels section displays icons for each connected OTA channel. The section header reads "Tap to see the listing in each channel."
Tapping any channel icon opens the listing's description as it appears on that specific OTA platform. This allows you to verify exactly what guests see on each channel without leaving the app.
Connected channels are displayed as circular icons representing each platform. Only channels that the listing is actively connected to are shown.
Permissions
Edit access depends on the user's role and permissions within Hostaway. Users without edit permissions can still view the description and access the channel links, but will not see the edit icon.
