How to generate Door Codes based on the Guest's phone number on Hostaway?
Hostaway allows you to generate door codes easily for guests!
To manage this feature, please follow the next steps:
- Go to Listings > Edit > Additional info
- Select the box "Use the last 4 digits of the guest's phone number", which uses the guest’s phone number's last 4 digits as the door code
- The automatic door code will be generated, and you may find it under Reservations > Select "Details" of a particular reservation > Scroll down to the "Door code" section
For Airbnb reservations accepted on or after October 26, 2026, Airbnb no longer shares the guest’s phone number with Hostaway. Airbnb sends the 4 digits directly instead, so door codes based on the phone number keep working.
