What is Hostaway Reservations Breakdown?
We offer the possibility to see and adjust the price breakdown directly in a reservation.
- The Total Price corresponds to what the Guest paid, and commissions from the Channel (both applying to guest and host) need to be subtracted to get the real payout
- For Vrbo, and as a single exception, we don't include Guest fees in the Total Price, as it would mean charging those when using auto-charges.
- You can manually adjust any breakdown values at any time in edit mode. However, keep in mind that changing certain fields (such as the base rate) may automatically update other related charges. This happens when the system uses your internal listing configuration—rather than the channel's settings—to calculate the breakdown values.
- To give an example: a change in the Base Rate for a Direct reservation may mean recalculating some taxes that are based on this Base Rate. However, this won't happen for Airbnb or Booking.com
