How to create/export a Hostaway listing to Airbnb?

Exporting a Hostaway listing to Airbnb will create a listing in Airbnb. If the listing is already connected to Airbnb you should not use this feature to send it again since it will create duplicates.

Export your listing to Airbnb

To push your Hostaway listing to Airbnb please follow the next steps:

1. Go to your Hostaway Dashboard > Listings > Click on Edit
2. For every tab, make sure to fill out all the information (if the information is not filled it may result in errors upon export) Especially the information present in the "Channel specific" tab in the Airbnb section
3. Once all information has been correctly filled out, go to Channel Manager > Channels > Configure Airbnb > Click on "Create a new listing (beta)"
4. Select the listing you would like to export to Airbnb > Click on Create
5. Once done, check if the listing was created properly on the Airbnb site. If you can't find it, an error might have occurred. Please let us know by submitting a request and we will be happy to assist

If you are experiencing an issue where a listing export from Hostaway to Airbnb fails due to an internal error, you can try the following steps to resolve the problem. First, log in to your Hostaway account and locate the affected listing. Then, attempt to export the listing to Airbnb again. If the issue persists, you may need to contact Hostaway support for further assistance in resolving the internal error.

New Listing Promotion from Hostaway

When adding a new listing to Airbnb, Airbnb recommends adding a 20% discount for the first 3 reservations to drive demand, citing that hosts that do so will get their new listings booked in 20% less time.

Before, using this discount feature, you would have to create your new listings in Airbnb, and then import your listings to Hostaway.

Now, you can do this all directly in the Hostaway Dashboard by following the next steps:

1. Go to the Channel Manager module in the Hostaway Dashboard
2. Select the Channels tab at the top right
3. Besides Airbnb, select Configure
4. Hit Export Listings, then confirm the listing(s) you wish to export to Airbnb
5. In the pop-up (shown below), check the box Add this listing to the New listing promotion
6. Confirm, and you're done!

It’s also possible to include the listing in the promotion directly from Airbnb’s dashboard if the listing was created before we enabled this feature (as long as you have less than 3 reservations on this channel).

Updating Airbnb Listing Details in Hostaway

If you have updated listing details such as photos or names in Airbnb, but these changes are not reflected in the Hostaway platform, you may need to manually reimport the listing from Airbnb to Hostaway. To do this, please follow the next steps:

1. Go to your Hostaway Dashboard > Channel Manager
2. Select the Airbnb Pro channel > Select the listing you updated on Airbnb
3. Click on the Reimport option

Please note that:

• The Reimport feature will override the current information in Hostaway with the updated details from Airbnb - this is especially important if the listing is already connected to Vrbo
• Not all information will be pushed to Airbnb (for example tax information must be filled out directly on Airbnb), so please review all listing information to make sure it is accurate. If any information is missing, please fill it out on Airbnb. You can then re-import it to update the Hostaway listing.
