Pages
Within this tab, you can manage the pages located within the Booking Website.
8 pages are pre-set and cannot be removed, but may be hidden from the website if needed. Each page can also be optimized for SEO with specific keywords, which can override the general settings. Custom SEO applies only to specific pages (Home, All listings, About Us, Privacy policy, Terms & Conditions, Contact Us); general SEO is applied in advanced settings.
Additionally, you can create custom pages and choose which ones are displayed within the top and bottom menus. The custom SEO can't be applied to custom pages.
- Home - You can set the header and subtitle, which appear in the hero section. You can also choose whether to include the location filter and up to 5 amenities in the search bar. The body header, text, and image refer to the frame that appears under the categories.
- All listings - Allows setting up the order in which listings will be displayed in the Booking Website. This affects the search results and can be used to promote listings.
- About us - Here you can set the header, background image, body text, and image
- Privacy policy - Allows setting the header and body text. Can be opened in a new window
- Terms & conditions - Allows setting the title, subtitle, and body text. Can be opened in a new window
- Contact us - You can set the title, subtitle, image, and body text. The contact information and social media links set here appear on the Contact Us page as well as in the footer throughout the website. You can add an optional contact form and choose to which email address it will be sent
- Display in Footer - You can also set which contact information details will be displayed in the Booking Website's footer. This should be made from the Booking Website > Settings > Pages > Contact Us > Check the box associated with the info you would like to be displayed
- Reservation confirmation - This page is displayed when a reservation is successful. This is important to provide information about reservation numbers and details that help build trust. In addition to setting the title, subtitle, body text, and image, you can add custom fields to the body text displayed on the reservation confirmation page. This allows you to personalize the message, add reservation numbers, guest portal links, and more. You can find this setting in the Booking Website → Pages → Reservation Confirmation → Edit.
- Inquiry received. This page is displayed when an inquiry has been successful. This is important to provide information about details that help build trust. In addition to setting the title, subtitle, body text, and image, you can add custom fields to the body text displayed on the reservation confirmation page. This allows you to personalize the message, add reservation numbers, guest portal links, and more. You can find this setting in the Booking Website → Pages → Inquiry received → Edit.
- Custom pages. Custom pages allow you to add personalized content to your Booking Website, enhancing your guests' experience with additional information and resources.
- Key Features and Guidelines
- Content Flexibility: Add both images and text to create rich, informative pages
- Page Naming Requirements:
- Use plain text only for listing page titles
- Avoid using symbols (!, @, #, $, %, ^, &, etc.) in page titles
- Using symbols may cause errors that affect both the current page and subsequent custom pages
- Navigation Options: Configure pages to open in the same tab or a new browser tab
External Links: Custom pages can function as menu links to external websites (such as your main website)
For optimal performance, keep your page titles simple and descriptive using only letters, numbers, and spaces. This ensures proper functionality throughout your Booking Website.
- Key Features and Guidelines
- Menu customization - Up to 5 pages could be added to each menu - one at the header and one in the footer.
- Adding images: You can add images via the HTML feature in a custom page edit section. Add the image address URL in the image tag of the HTML code so it can be shown:
<img src="{image_url}" >
Important: Home Page editing in Standard vs. Pro
One important difference between the Standard and Pro plans is where the Home Page is edited.
- In the Standard plan, the Home Page is edited directly in the Hostaway editor by clicking the Booking Website name and selecting the colors and image.
- In the Pro plan, you need to go to the Site Editor.
