Learn how Airbnb payments are split for stays longer than 30 days, how installments are charged, and why fees such as cleaning may appear prorated across payments.
How Payments Work for Long-Term Stays
If you currently offer stays of more than one month in one of your properties through Airbnb, you should be aware that payment for these stays works differently from payment for stays of less than one month.
Payments for long-term stays work differently from regular stays; Airbnb automatically collects from guests 1 month upfront and at the beginning of each 30-day period.
Stays longer than 30 days will be paid in separate installments, and any extra fees and taxes applicable will be prorated according to the number of stays after the 30th day. This means that the cleaning fee will appear to be less when booking over 30 days, and the remaining amount will be paid on the second installment, depending on the remaining days.
