Deactivated Listings "Archive" vs. Deletion
AnsweredI have my own portfolio but also several of your current clients whom I coach.
As someone who uses your service for my own properties and advises others on property management solutions, I'm in a unique position to see how this problem is impacting users across the board. Currently, three of the clients I coach are seriously considering leaving your service due to a significant pain point: they're losing all their valuable data when they off-board a property.
This data loss issue is putting our relationships at risk – both mine with these clients, and theirs with your service. As you know Guesty offers this service however I really love Hostaway. Surely, there must be a way to retain data for off-boarded properties, even if it's just for a limited time or in a read-only format.
I can't stress enough how crucial this feature is for client retention. Could we please prioritize this in the development pipeline? It's not just a "nice-to-have" – it's becoming essential for keeping clients satisfied and preventing churn.
As someone deeply invested in the success of your platform, both as a user and as an advisor to others, I believe addressing this issue would significantly enhance user satisfaction and loyalty. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to hearing how we can address this pressing need. Thank you for your time and consideration!

Amen. It's forcing me to explore options as well.

Thumbs up for a ARCHIVE feature.

100% agree that listings should be able to be archived at no cost.
Data is king. losing it all, losing the record of guest communications, guests, rates, copy, etc is pretty bad.
Also there are properties that have left my service and then returned eg the owners wanted to complete renovations, moved in for a period, tried it themselves, etc. I cant keep their listing as i need to pay for it every month even though it is not live. An archive feature would fix this.

Yes! We experience the same thing. Clients decide to sell their home and then six months later they come back to short-term it out again. This causes a lot of admin for us to manually back up all the information in order to remove the property, only to enter it all back in again.

Agree - this should be a standard practice.
