Learn about Hostaway’s left-hand navigation menu update and how the new dashboard layout affects access to key product areas.
We’ve made a simple but effective update to Hostaway’s vertical left-hand navigation. The menu is now more compact, easier to use, and grouped more logically—so you can find what you need faster.
Why this matters
Previously, the navigation included 73 tabs. With this update, we’ve reduced it to 44 tabs—a 40% decrease.
This change:
- Reduces visual clutter
- Makes the interface cleaner
- Improves discoverability through logical grouping
- Helps you reach key areas faster with fewer items to scan
What changed (at a glance)
Instead of a long list of individual tabs, related areas are now consolidated under clearer group headings.
1) Financial Reporting
Financial Reporting now hosts finance- and reporting-related areas, including:
- Analytics and Reporting
- Owner Statements
- Expenses and Extras
- QuickBooks
2) Listing Quality
Listing Quality is now conveniently located under the Listings tab.
3) Reservations
The Reservations area now includes:
- Reviews
- Guest Payments (for a reservation)
4) Settings
Account Profiles and Groups have been moved under Settings.
Where did the previous navigation tabs go?
- They haven’t been removed.
- Any tabs that are no longer shown directly in the left-hand navigation are still accessible from within the relevant pages themselves.
- Functionality has not been lost—this update is focused on simplifying navigation and grouping items more logically.
