I need to show EXACT deadline DATE for cancellation to receive a refund
For direct bookings through the booking engine, my cancellation policy is as follows: 100% refund up to 30 days before arrival, and 50% refund up to 14 days.
When I send a confirmation message, this cancellation policy is included in the message, but what is missing is the exact date and time until the guest can cancel to receive a refund.
The 30-day and 14-day is nice to know, but this involves manual calculation that could lead to errors and misunderstanding, as far as the exact cutoff date and time.
For instance, if you make a reservation on Booking.com, Airbnb, etc, the deadline for cancellation will be clearly indicated as a specific date and time (as opposed to simply say 30 days before check-in).
Unfortunately, Hostaway does not provide the possibility to create a custom field for that purpose. So I am asking Hostaway to create a custom field that calculates the exact date 30 days before check-in.
For instance, if check-in is June 30th, the custom field will calculate the deadline to cancel to get a refund being June 1st.
