Listing Pause/Deactivation without Data Loss
AnsweredHi Hostaway Team,
We manage several properties that go off-market between November and April. Currently, the only option is to delete the listings, which creates extra work when reactivating them, especially with future and past reservations.
A "pause" or "archive" feature that allows us to temporarily deactivate listings without removing them would save us time and hassle. Additionally, it would help reduce costs, as many services (including Hostaway) charge per active listing, even if they’re off-market.
This feature would be a huge help for managing seasonal properties!
Thanks,

Closing this, since we reopened the other thread and this is now a duplicate. Please use the other feature request if you have further feedback to provide on this topic. Thanks.

Agreed! Without a way to archive a listing (being able to keep the records, but not have the listing active and paying for the it) we are going to remove the listing. This then makes the financial reporting inaccurate.
It is bizarre this feature hasn't been available from start, as on the overview tab there is a box displaying the number of inactive listings. Which is always zero.

Absolutely correct. I changed a listing to a new one to avoid losing the data, but this is only a partial solution. The active and inactive status is available with other software providers like Wheelhouse and Chekin.

Completely agree. Sometimes properties pause for all sorts of reasons. I have held them in Hostaway waiting for the owners to confirm re-opening and Hostaway has re-opened it automatically on Booking and Airbnb, which caused much trouble! So now I delete them. It would be great to know why this is not an option. It is becoming a bit of a dealbreaker for us.
