Creating a Hostaway Loyalty/Affiliate Marketing Program
Didn't hear back from the product team when I emailed them directly so wanted to park this here in hopes that people see it and upvote.
I had an idea to make the coupon section of Hostaway a more useful source of generating repeat traffic for property managers and hosts. Instead of just being able to generate coupons it would be great to be able to reward past guests who are regularly referring us and track who they are referring us to. It would be great to set-up some kind of system that allows PM's and Hosts to assign points or rewards that work towards a more discounted stay as our past guests refer more and more people. This could be calculated as a percentage of the booking amount that they referred us to but I think this would be a game-changer for a lot of PM's and Hosts who are looking to build up a list of brand advocates that can feel more incentivized to sell their accommodation on behalf of them. Right now the coupons fall a little short of this because there is no way to dynamically change a past guests rewards/discount and no way to track who they are referring to us. This would also help with affiliate marketing, which would allow hosts and PM's to go on the offensive and find influencers and people who can market the accommodation and make money from their efforts.

Yes I agree, rewards and coupons really need to be updated, tracking returning customers, offering discount tiers based on no of stays and your idea about referrals is also great.
