Protection for direct bookings
For those of you who accept direct bookings, what do you do to protect yourselves? We have always booked exclusively through Vrbo and Airbnb, but we have returning guests and we want to start using Hostaway's Booking engine

Hello Phillip: I agree with Mark's post. I would also continue to apply a refundable damage deposit to each Direct Booking. (There is no longer protection from the guests fear of a bad review). Sometimes familiarity breeds less attention to care of the space, and while I prefer Direct Bookings over all others, a little extra protection brings peace of mind.

Hi Phillip,
If you have returning guests then you probably already know who they are and what sort of guests they are. You could use the Rental Agreement to protect yourself with your own Short Term Rental Agreement which they have to sign. This can be found on your Listing in the Guest Portal Tab. There is also a help article about this on the Support site.
Hope this helps.
