Booking.com: Reporting no-shows Follow
In Booking.com if a guest doesn’t show up for their booking and the host choose to waive the fee, it's important to mark the reservation as a no-show. Reporting no-shows and waiving a fee prevents the host from being charged a commission.
Marking no-shows in Hostaway:
1. Log into Hostaway
2. Search for the reservation using the guest's name or reservation ID.
3. Select the reservation to view the details.
4. There will be a 'Report no-show' button available at the top of the reservation details:
Once clicked the reservation will be cancelled and both the guest and the host will be notified via email.
Note: This button is only available from midnight on the check-in date, up to 48 hours after the check-out date. Before or after those points you will not be able to report a no-show.
Keeping track of no-shows and cancellations
Even after a booking has been cancelled, it can be checked within the booking.com extranet. Whenever a host charges guests for no-shows or cancellations, they will need to pay commission. However, if the host mark a credit card as invalid, or decide to waive cancellation fees, they don’t have to pay commission.
