Update your listing currency
How does currency work?
Hostaway allows you to set daily rates on multiple channels, such as Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, etc. The value is set by numerical data (that is: 50, 70, 100, etc.) and does not convert currency exchange automatically.
For instance, if you set a price of 100 CAD, it will send the price of 100 to each channel. This means that it could show as 100 CAD on Airbnb and 100£ on Booking.com.
Keep in mind that Vrbo only supports AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP, NZD, and USD currency, while Booking.com will use the listing local currency.
Use Markup
To modify different prices on different sites, you can use a Markup to modify the price on one channel according to the currency exchange set up on that channel.
For instance, if your Airbnb listing is in USD and your Booking.com listing is in CAD, you can manually adjust your markup: 1 USD = 1,30 CAD so that would be 30% on all sites that have CAD as currency
You should set up a base price according to the strongest currency on your listings so it would be easier for you to modify your channels.

Currency and Financial Reporting
Hostaway does not convert the reservation total amount that channels send to us.
Please note that if you are using different currencies, the Financial Reporting will not be accurate since we will add up all totals, no matter the currency.
How to change the listing currency?
To find the currency in Hostaway, please go to Listings > Edit > Price & Fees > Currency
You cannot change the currency of your listing because it might affect the current setup with other channels. We recommend you do the following:
- Unmap your listing from all the channels (Channel Manager > Channels > Configure > Unmap)
- Delete the listing
- Update your currency on Airbnb
- Import your listing to Hostaway
Note: when you import your listings from Airbnb, the currency is imported automatically depending on what you have configured on Airbnb.
