Guest reservation modification 

A guest or host can require alteration to an existing reservation. At this moment Airbnb does not allow partners to approve the alterations requests on their end and this must be done in Airbnb. 

If the Host cannot honour the guest’s request, they will have to cancel the reservation.

Alterations on Airbnb consist of some changes that can be offered/requested by the host or the guest in a reservation. The other part will have to accept those changes to have a confirmed reservation.

Alterations required from the guest

Guest clicks on Change or Cancel and then goes to change reservation:

Dates and Guests can be requested to be changed. The guest will have to confirm. 

a confirmation of the change will appear

Then the host will be able to review the alteration request and accept or decline it

If declined, the reservation will be kept as it was. If accepted, the reservation will be modified.

Bear in mind that only confirmed reservations can have an alteration (if the reservation is pending, this is not applicable).
