When you connect your new Expedia property to any channel management software, this software will import the latest reservation information provided by the Expedia servers.
Expedia works with a limitation - specifically, 30 days import limitation on the servers. Any property that connects or re-connects to a channel management software will only receive the reservations that were made 30 days before the latest connection.
This means that if you connect your Expedia property on May 31st to the software, Expedia will only report reservations made after May 1st for future dates. When a guest made a reservation on the 1st of February for December that year this reservation will not be reported by Expedia to the channel manager software and needs to be added manually as direct booking.
When you change settings to your Expedia room mapping/rate categories or other settings, it is often needed to re-map your Expedia property. This also means that the Hostaway software needs to remove all previously imported Expedia reservations and re-map the listing. Due to this, you will have to add also any Expedia reservation made more than 30 days before this new mapping date as direct booking to the software.
