Users can be given individual access rights to the system or can be placed in user groups. All users can have Read, Create, Update and Delete rights in the system based on all or some listings.
Adding a User
Go to the "User management" menu. In the new window, click on the "Users" tab and then click on the "Add New" button. Fill in the details appropriately:
Do bear in mind that you cannot create a user with an email address that is already being used in Hostaway.
If you receive an error message stating the email address is already in use and you believe it isn't, don't hesitate to reach us at support@hostaway.com
Allowing access to Reservation Financials and Guest Contact data
Depending on the type of user, a user will need access to sensitive financial or guest data. You can allow access at the time of creating a new user. By default, a new user will not have permissions to view financial or guest data. In order to grant access, just check the relevant checkboxes as in the example below:
Depending on the user permissions and rights you want to give, you can select what accions the user can take: view, modify, create or delete:
User notifications
You can set different types of notifications for your user. Notifications can be received via dashboard, email or the Hostaway mobile app:

Assigning Listings to Users
You can decide which listings the user will have access to. Just check/uncheck the relevant ones as needed. Please note that with the setting "Allow access for newly added listings", you will be given automatic access to newly created listings to the user.
What are Groups and Permissions?
When you use User Groups or choose a permission template from the drop-down box, it will automatically set the rights. It is strongly advised to fill in all the details so you can use it later on with current and new functions in the software. Make sure you've selected the listings the user have access to and save the profile.
