The calendar shows all your reservations based on multi, monthly or yearly views.
Depending on the channels synchronization time, the Hostaway software automatically adds the new reservations to the calendar overview and remove those who are cancelled. (depending on your filters)
Example blocking date events
Channel bookings: When a booking is made on one of the channels, the system will collect the data and start the sync process
Direct bookings: In your calendar window, you have a button to add direct bookings to the system. Once direct bookings are added, the software will start the sync to all connected channels.
Owner Block: When the owner is staying at the place, you can create an owner block.
This is available on Monthly calendar. You need to select Show > Sync Status.
When an adjustment is made to the calendar, it will show an orange clock for the days. This means that the system is starting the synchronization. When the synchronization is completed, the day will have a green checkmark.
At that moment, the system will have to send all the details to the XML / API connected channels and should be updated within 1 minute. Sometimes it's needed to refresh your browser to see the changes made.
For the iCal connected channels, the new calendar updates are ready for "pickup" and it is fully dependent on your sales channel on when they will retrieve the updated information.
Rate and length of stay synchronization
With Hostaway, you can update your rates per listing for XML / API channels like Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia and more. Length of stay can also be adjusted for Booking.com and Expedia. To do this, you can click on a single day in the calendar or select multiple days. This will show you the settings screen (on the right) for these days where you can fill in the rate for that day(s) and the minimum length of stay. When saved, the Hostaway channel manager software will start the sync to the channels. Depending on the number of days, this takes 3 to 15 minutes to complete.
