Learn how the integration between RemoteLock and Chekin works
This is a quick guide to show you how to connect your RemoteLock account to Chekin!
The first thing you have to do is accessing your Chekin account from the login page
Then go to the Marketplace section:
Scroll down and find RemoteLock, click on Connect:
Add the name you prefer for your account and click on Connect:
You will be redirected to RemoteLock sign-in page; access with your credentials, then authorize Chekin to connect to your info:
Once you do that you will be redirected back to Chekin and you will see RemoteLock already connected:
After that, you will be able to connect Chekin properties to RemoteLock keys. Go to the properties section and click on the property where you want to activate the self-check-in.
Go to the "Self-check-in" section and click on the toggle to activate it. You will be required to upgrade your subscription. Once you do that you will see your RemoteLock account already connected:
Now you will have to connect Chekin to the keys available in RemoteLock; you can add common and/or private accesses.
Click on "Add a door":
- Choose the door type;
- On-field "External ID" select the key available in your RemoteLock account you want to connect with;
- On-field "Name" just give a name to the door
After that, you will have to select when you want to send the virtual key to the guests. We do suggest choosing the option "Lead guest identification has been completed":
Don't forget to click on "Save changes". Once you complete all these steps you will be able to start using the self-check-in feature connected to your RemoteLock keys!
